I wanted to make pork tenderloin tonight. And I needed a recipe. How hard could that be? Well, quite hard, as it turns out. Almost every recipe I found had either mustard in it (I don’t like) or had an Asian flair (which I didn’t want for this purpose). My beloved allrecipes.com and recipezaar.com let me down!! So I pulled up Taste of Home and found a recipe that was DEVOURED by everyone in the family. Servings listed was 6-8 but it made just enough for 2 adults, a 5yo, a 2yo, a lunch for DH and then a couple extra ounces. So I changed it to 4-6 servings.
I served it with barbecue sauce and sides were rolls, a green salad, smashed potatoes and the last of the pineapple I bought at the farmer’s market last week. Yum, yum, yum dinner!
Grilled Pork Tenderloin
Serves 4-6
1 teaspoon salt (I used just 1/2 teaspoon)
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 pork tenderloins (3/4 to 1 pound each)
Combine the first seven ingredients; rub on pork. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes. Grill pork over medium heat for 15-20 minutes. Let stand 5-10 minutes prior to slicing.
