This week’s Saturday Stumbles are all food related.
On a cuteness note…my dear 2yo this morning was asking for milk. I couldn’t find a lidded cup downstairs, so I asked him to go up to his room to get it. “I too busy” was the response I got. Doing what?!! LOL A few minutes later I said something about eating chocolate and he told me that chocolate isn’t good for me, its only good for Bennys. Lucky for him, he IS a Benny.
I have wanted to make soft pretzels for a few months but never got around to it. After reading this recipe on Annie Eats, I’m setting DH up with this recipe today!
Beer-braised beef & onions by The Pioneer Woman is going on my menu later this fall! Yum.
I had no idea homemade fruit roll-ups were so easy! My kids go NUTS over the Stretch Island fruit leathers at the whole foods stores. We got a great deal on them at Costco (half the price that Amazon sells them!), so we’re set for awhile. But I’m saving this recipe for after our move.
Yesterday was International Bacon Day…we’re celebrating today! Bacon with pancakes this morning, Chicken Bacon club sandwiches for lunch and smashed potatoes stuffed with bacon & green onions for tonight’s rib dinner! (I’m balancing all that out with lots of fresh fruits & veggies today…got some great deals at some roadside stands yesterday!)
I’m always looking for new food for my freezer recipes. This Ultimate Recipe Swap edition at Life as Mom is…freezer food! I’m slowly making my way through all the links and finding some great recipes I want to try after we move.
White chocolate kit kat brownies. Yum, yum, yum. Making these next weekend!!
I desperately need to redo my recipe binder. Tip Junkie has some great links that have inspired me to work on it this weekend.
